Radiology tests are the second largest driver of health care costs in the US, after surgeries. Under the ACA and the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014, clinicians are required to examine their radiology test orders using decision science software tools by 2017, in order to retain any federal funding or reimbursements they receive.
